Project Officer (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to support Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This short‑term position (up to nine months, initial six months) is graded at P‑2 and contributes to IOM’s humanitarian response in a complex emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing and monitoring MHPSS projects in the DRC.
• Coordinate with governmental, inter‑governmental and non‑governmental partners to ensure effective delivery of services.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting on project outcomes.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documents, briefs and situation reports.

Required profile

• Professional experience at the P‑2 level or equivalent in humanitarian or health programmes.
• Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from IOM member states not currently represented at professional level are given priority.
• Willingness to work in the DRC and adapt to a challenging security environment.
