Retail Sales Manager

About the role

The Retail Sales Manager will lead the strategic direction, commercial performance, and operational excellence of all retail outlets and kiosks across the region for a leading telecommunications provider. The role focuses on sustainable revenue growth, retail footprint optimisation, and delivering a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement regional retail sales strategies and commercial plans to meet revenue and subscriber acquisition targets.
• Analyse market trends and footfall data to optimise store locations, kiosk placements and retail formats.
• Manage the retail department budget, monitor operating expenses and ensure high ROI for campaigns and store operations.
• Establish service level agreements, capture Voice of the Customer feedback and improve Net Promoter Score.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for inventory management, cash handling, KYC compliance and CRM platform usage.
• Collaborate with Marketing to roll out trade materials, campaigns and product launches across the network.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate Retail Team Leaders and Supervisors, overseeing their professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading retail sales teams and achieving aggressive sales targets.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and drive footprint decisions.
• Demonstrated competence in P&L and budget management.
• Experience in implementing customer‑experience initiatives and performance metrics.
• Ability to develop and enforce operational procedures and ensure compliance.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills.
