Sales Team Leader – Matadi

About the role

The Sales Team Leader will guide and develop a team of Sales Activators to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring operational compliance and an excellent customer experience. Based in Matadi, the role combines field leadership, territory planning, and performance management to drive commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train and coach 10‑15 Sales Activators in partnership with the Area Sales Manager.
• Design and execute daily, weekly and monthly route plans covering residential, commercial and institutional zones.
• Monitor attendance, discipline and adherence to company standards, conducting daily performance meetings.
• Track sales performance, conversion rates and productivity metrics; provide forecasts and reports to management.
• Reconcile daily sales transactions, inventory movements, customer registrations and payment proofs.
• Organise promotional events, market activations, demonstrations and roadshows to acquire new customers.
• Identify under‑performance and implement corrective action plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales leadership and team management.
• Strong analytical ability to monitor performance and generate accurate forecasts.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to motivate a field sales team.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on process compliance and operational control.
