SBC Officer (Digital) – 6‑month TA in Kinshasa

About the role

The Digital Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Officer will support UNICEF’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Chief, Social and Behaviour Change in Kinshasa, the officer will design, implement and evaluate digital SBC and risk communication strategies to promote protective behaviours and counter misinformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement evidence‑based digital SBC/RCCE strategies for the Ebola response.
• Conduct research, data analysis, social listening and community feedback to inform communication actions.
• Coordinate with government, UN agencies, NGOs and implementing partners to ensure coherent digital communication efforts.
• Provide operational support, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting of digital activities.
• Build capacity of partners, share learning and scale‑up successful digital approaches.

Required profile

• University degree in social and behavioural sciences (or a related field).
