Senior HIV Integration Advisor – LEAP Global (DRC)

About the role

The Senior HIV Integration Advisor will support the LEAP Global initiative by embedding technical expertise within the Democratic Republic of Congo’s national HIV/AIDS programs. The role focuses on integrating HIV services into primary health care and maternal‑child health platforms, strengthening coordination between the U.S. Government and host ministries, and advancing the country’s HIV transmission elimination agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Embed technical advisors within the National HIV/AIDS Control Program (PNLS) and the National Multisectoral HIV/AIDS Program (PNMLS).
• Guide the integration of HIV prevention, treatment, and vertical transmission elimination services into primary health facilities.
• Support the implementation of the 2026–2030 Memorandum of Understanding between the DRC and the U.S. Government.
• Coordinate with donors such as the Global Fund and PEPFAR to align funding with integration priorities.
• Provide strategic technical assistance, monitor progress, and report on outcomes to both host and U.S. stakeholders.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing HIV programs or health‑system integration projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with ministries of health and international donors.
• Strong analytical and advisory skills with the ability to operate in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Fluency in English; experience in the DRC or similar contexts is a plus.
