Senior International Accountant

About the role

PATH is seeking a Senior International Accountant to join its Global Accounting Operations team. The role supports country offices across 20+ nations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, donor requirements, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control reviews of country office financial reports and transactions.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes with field sites.
• Prepare adjustments, accruals, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Provide guidance on accounting policies, internal controls and donor compliance.
• Support internal and external audits and train staff on financial processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
• Experience with global ERP systems and multi‑currency accounting is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, Outlook.
• ERP system usage with multi‑currency capability.
• Knowledge of USAID regulations (e.g., 2CFR200) is a plus.
