Specialised Artisan – Mechanical & Fitting

About the role

KAMOA COPPER SA is seeking two specialised artisans to manage and ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of smelter mechanical equipment. You will lead a team of assistant mechanics to keep the copper smelting plant running reliably and meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safe and effective operation and maintenance of smelter mechanical equipment.
• Supervise assistant mechanics and coordinate their activities.
• Ensure maintenance and upkeep of smelting plant machinery for reliable operations.
• Drive problem‑solving, continuous improvement and emergency malfunction response.
• Build stakeholder relationships across teams and monitor costs to achieve efficiencies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of copper smelting plant maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in business English; French and Swahili are highly advantageous.
