Subawards and Partnerships Advisor – DRC

About the role

The Subawards and Partnerships Advisor will support the National Program Manager in overseeing Ipas DRC’s sub‑recipients, from selection through close‑out. This full‑time position ensures that partnership activities align with Ipas’s strategic goals and comply with internal policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between Ipas DRC and all sub‑recipients, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Coordinate the selection, contracting, and onboarding of sub‑recipients in collaboration with cross‑functional leads.
• Conduct risk assessments for each partner, develop mitigation plans, and monitor implementation.
• Ensure sub‑recipients adhere to Ipas policies, SOPs, procurement, and safeguarding standards.
• Analyze proposals and activity reports, provide feedback, and track performance against objectives.
• Document lessons learned, success stories, and create knowledge‑sharing platforms.
• Identify new partnership opportunities, contribute to proposal development, and support donor reporting.

Required profile

• Experience managing sub‑grants, partnerships, or similar contracts within an NGO or development context.
• Strong understanding of risk management, financial oversight, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively across program, finance, logistics, and advocacy units.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
