Supply Associate (Temporary) – Ebola Response, DRC

About the role

UNICEF is recruiting Supply Associates on a six‑month temporary basis to support the Ebola emergency response in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role involves managing procurement and supply activities across multiple locations, ensuring that essential goods reach vulnerable communities quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end procurement and contracting processes for emergency supplies.
• Manage procurement services, supply financing (where applicable) and ensure compliance with UNICEF policies.
• Support localisation and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate information, data management and reporting on procurement activities.
• Supervise lower‑level staff and coordinate with partners and government authorities.

Required profile

• Secondary education in supply chain management, procurement or a related field.
• Relevant work experience in procurement, logistics or supply management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work independently, adapt procedures to complex situations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
