Supply & Logistics Specialist (P-3, 6‑Month TA)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Supply & Logistics Specialist (P‑3) on a six‑month temporary appointment to support its emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will be based in Kinshasa and will contribute to the coordination of supply chain activities that underpin the organization’s Ebola response and other child‑focused programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, contract and manage customs clearance for goods required by the field operation.
• Oversee warehousing, in‑country transportation and distribution of supplies to project sites.
• Monitor the flow of supplies, services and construction works to ensure compliance with UNICEF standards.
• Collaborate with programme teams to design and implement supply interventions that meet programme needs.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government authorities, national systems and implementing partners on supply‑chain management.

Required profile

• Experience managing supply chains in a humanitarian or emergency context.
• Ability to work closely with programme teams, government bodies and implementing partners.
• Familiarity with UNICEF policies and procedures related to logistics and procurement.
