Supply Chain Officer (Professional)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to oversee supply chain activities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Senior Resources Management Officer, the officer will ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services while supporting IOM’s mission of humane and orderly migration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct strategic planning for supply‑chain related activities of the Country Office in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the Regional Office and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters to align country operations with global SCM objectives.
• Perform logistics capacity assessments and market research to keep decision‑makers informed about local market trends and developments.
• Oversee procurement processes to achieve optimal cost, quality, and timeliness of goods and services.

Required profile

• Eligibility as a first‑tier or second‑tier candidate according to IOM’s recruitment policy.
• Demonstrated experience in supply chain management, logistics planning, or related fields.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners, including government, intergovernmental, and non‑governmental organizations.
