Construction Manager – Port Infrastructure (Congo)

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead the planning, execution, and supervision of on‑site port construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on‑site port construction works, including civil works, dredging support, utilities and infrastructure.
• Manage subcontractors and site personnel, monitoring schedule, budget and quality against contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and local regulations.
• Liaise with client representatives, engineers, consultants, and government/port authorities.
• Report progress to senior leadership and resolve technical and logistical issues on site.
• Oversee procurement and material logistics related to construction activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, preferably in port, marine or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Fluency in French or English.
• Prior experience working in Africa or other developing‑market/remote‑site environments is preferred.
