Child Wellbeing Development Facilitator

About the role

World Vision is looking for a Child Wellbeing Development Facilitator, a local fixed-term employee. The role engages communities to support the wellbeing of children and vulnerable groups, including child sponsorship, and works closely with local partners and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Engage communities, explain World Vision's identity, mission and values, and promote child sponsorship as part of community engagement
• Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, partners and government, and identify and strengthen stakeholder groups
• Facilitate community planning, annual reviews and capacity building for partners, including disaster preparedness plans
• Manage sponsorship processes: orient communities, run child selection and monitoring, manage child records and inclusive activities
• Use a smartphone to monitor and update sponsorship data, and coordinate monitoring through the Child Wellbeing Committee or volunteers
• Share monitoring data with staff, communicate project results in the community and support partners in documenting their learning
• Contribute to team learning and development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, public health, community development or social work
• At least 2 years of work experience in community development
• Experience in programme implementation, community mobilization and participatory approaches
• Experience working with local stakeholders and with children and ethnic minorities
