Contracts Officer – Temporary (6 months) – Kinshasa

About the role

The Contracts Officer will support UNICEF’s emergency Ebola response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the supervision of the Contracts Specialist, the incumbent will focus on contract management, ensuring timely sourcing, contracting and administration of services needed for the response.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle for goods and services required for the Ebola emergency response.
• Coordinate with programme teams and implementing partners to define supply and contracting needs.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government and national systems on supply‑chain and contract management.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement policies and local regulations.
• Monitor contract performance, address issues and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Experience in contract management, procurement or supply‑chain functions, preferably in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills, with ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving operational environments.
