Director of Product – Agentic Public Sector Accounting

About the role

VectorOne is seeking a senior product leader to own the vision and delivery of an AI‑driven accounting platform for the public sector. As Director of Product, you will combine deep public‑sector accounting expertise with product strategy to shape the next generation of autonomous finance tools.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting subject‑matter expert guiding design, development, and validation of the AI‑based platform.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to translate complex accounting processes into AI‑driven features and workflows.
• Define business requirements, compliance considerations, and industry‑specific nuances for public‑sector finance.
• Review and validate product outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Influence product roadmap, prioritize features, and drive execution from concept through launch.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in product leadership or principal accounting roles within the public sector.
• Deep technical understanding of public‑sector accounting standards, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Track record of delivering complex, technology‑enabled finance solutions.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution ability.
