Health Specialist – Full‑time (UNICEF, Kananga, DRC)

About the role

The Health Specialist will report to the Chief Field Office and support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a sector of UNICEF's health programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development, planning and results‑based management for health sectors such as maternal, neonatal and child health.
• Provide technical guidance, manage programme delivery, monitor progress and report on outcomes.
• Build partnerships with government, UN agencies, NGOs and donors to strengthen health systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, epidemiology or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in public health programme planning, maternal‑newborn health or health emergency preparedness.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language or local language is a plus.
