Logistics Associate – Temporary (6 months) – DRC

About the role

UNICEF is seeking Logistics Associates on a six‑month temporary contract to support the Ebola emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role involves managing the movement, storage and last‑mile delivery of critical supplies, especially infection‑prevention commodities, across Kinshasa, Bunia, Beni and Butembo.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate in‑country logistics, including transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
• Ensure timely and reliable delivery of programme supplies to health facilities and communities.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and maintain accurate stock records.
• Collaborate with partners, report on logistics performance and contribute to process improvements.
• Supervise lower‑level staff as required.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education; relevant professional or university courses are an advantage.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain or warehouse management, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work independently in a complex, insecure environment.
• Strong coordination and reporting skills.
