Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention

About the role

PATH is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to lead the data‑driven implementation of a two‑year Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention project in Kisantu, DRC. The role focuses on building robust M&E systems, generating actionable insights, and supporting equitable, gender‑responsive project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the project’s M&E plan, including data collection tools and DHIS2 tracker integration.
• Develop and maintain a secure data system for storing project assets.
• Provide technical guidance on data collection, processing, visualization, and analysis.
• Produce routine reports, dashboards, and quality‑improvement metrics for internal monitoring.
• Document learnings, prepare technical briefs, and disseminate findings with partners.
• Lead equity and gender benchmarking within project activities.
• Monitor timelines and performance of M&E activities, troubleshooting issues in health zones.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports using DHIS2/HMIS data.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Health HMIS team on digital tool development.
• Build and sustain relationships with MOH, implementing partners, academic institutions, and donors.
• Travel to health zones and facilities for data verification and capacity building.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation for health programs.
• Strong background in data management, analysis, and visualization.
• Familiarity with DHIS2 or similar health information systems.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate equity and gender considerations into project work.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
