Programme Officer – Democratic Republic of Congo

About the role

The Programme Officer will provide programme, financial, administrative and logistical support for the Women, Peace and Security – Funding Together (WPS‑FT) project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based in North‑Eastern DRC, the role involves regular travel to project sites in Ituri and North Kivu, working closely with partners, consultants and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme activities and ensure timely implementation of project components.
• Manage financial reporting, budgets and administrative procedures in line with donor requirements.
• Provide logistical support for field missions, including travel arrangements and procurement.
• Liaise with local partners, NGOs and community groups to facilitate collaboration.
• Support consultants and volunteers, overseeing contracts and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate programme data, documentation and information management systems.
• Ensure compliance with Conciliation Resources’ safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., International Development, Peacebuilding, Social Sciences).
• Experience in programme management, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Knowledge of gender‑responsive peace processes and the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
• Ability to work in remote, insecure environments and travel frequently.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
