Project Coordinator – Humanitarian Field Role

About the role

Medair is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead the implementation and coordination of multiple health‑related field projects in the North‑Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is field‑based, providing strategic direction, management, and evaluation of activities funded by BHA, ECHO and SDC grants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project implementation to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive activity plans, including resource analysis.
• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation against project targets.
• Represent Medair with local authorities, donors, UN agencies and NGOs.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports to donors and internal managers.
• Plan and monitor project budgets, ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
• Manage staff recruitment, appraisal, training and disciplinary actions in line with Medair policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating humanitarian projects, preferably in health, nutrition or WASH sectors.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder liaison.
• Ability to work in a security‑sensitive environment.
